B12

Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin), is a water soluble vitamin that is essential for many bodily functions, including DNA production, red blood cell production, and nerve function.  B12 supports enzymatic function in the making of compounds such as methionine, which is utilized by the body in the production of energy from food.  A B12 injection can help boost energy levels, improve balance and stability, strengthen immunity, elevate your mood, sharpen mental clarity, and speed up your metabolism.  B12 can be given as an Intramuscular shot, or can be given Intravenously as a component of IV Therapy.

CoQ10

Coenzyme Q10, or CoQ10 (Ubiquinone), is found in nearly every cell in the human body, and is involved in the mitochondria with the generation of ATP.  It also functions as an antioxidant, protecting cells from oxidative stress and free radical damage.  CoQ10 can promote heart health and cardiovascular function, support cognitive function, reduce brain fog and improve memory, increase energy levels, and protect against chronic diseases.  CoQ10 is administered as an Intramuscular shot.

Decadron

Decadron (Dexamethasone) is a corticosteroid used to treat a variety of conditions including allergies, asthma, arthritis, and certain skin disorders.  It works by mimicking the effects of natural corticosteroids found in the body that help control inflammation.  Decadron effectively reduces the production of chemicals that cause this inflammation, providing relief of symptoms like redness, swelling, and pain.  Decadron can be given as an Intramuscular shot, or can be given Intravenously as a component of IV Therapy.

NAD+

NAD+ (Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is found in every cell of the body.  As we age, our bodies produce less and less of it.  NAD+ is synthesized by one of two pathways: the kynurenine pathway and the salvage pathway, and the variety of pathways for synthesis reflects the importance of NAD+ in the body.  NAD+ injections may help with improved concentration and ability to focus, relief from chronic fatigue, enhanced athletic performance, and significant anti-inflammatory effect.  The administration of NAD+ has also shown promise in the treatment of addiction.  NAD+ is administered as an Intramuscular shot.

Toradol

Toradol (Ketoralac) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication used for short term relief of moderately severe pain.  It is like Ibuprofen in an injectable form.  Toradol can be given as an Intramuscular shot, or can be given Intravenously as a component of IV Therapy.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) is a water soluble vitamin that is known as a powerful antioxidant, but is also involved in the formation of connective tissue, including bones, blood vessels, and skin.  Vitamin C is not made by the human body, thus making it an essential nutrient.  An important cofactor in the production of collagen, Vitamin C, by controlling oxidation, can also help to control chronic inflammation.  With stimulation of interferon production, Vitamin C may help avoid infectious disease by enhancing immune function.  At high doses, it can be used in the detoxification of certain substances (endotoxins, exotoxins, drugs, petrochemicals), in the treatment of some envenomations (spiders, snakes, insects), and as a multi-target agent in the treatment of cancer.

B Complex

B Complex is a powerful mix of B vitamins made up of B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin), B3 (Niacin), B5 (Pantothenic Acid), and B6 (Pyridoxine).  When added to a liter of Normal Saline, this combination of vitamins gives a yellow tint to the fluid, leading to the nickname “Banana Bag” for IV vitamins.  Administration of B Complex can lead to increased energy, improved immune function, enhanced cognitive function, reduced stress and anxiety, better skin, hair and nails, and improved cardiovascular health.

Biotin

Biotin, or B7, is a water soluble vitamin that is important for many body functions.  Based on the Greek work Biotos, which translates to life, Biotin is involved in converting food into energy.  Administration of Biotin can result in smoother and more elastic skin, stronger nails, and shinier thicker hair.  It can also result in lower cholesterol, improved metabolism, and can help to regulate blood sugar.

IV THERAPY MEDICINE LIST

Magnesium

Magnesium is an important mineral and is a cofactor in over 500 metabolic processes.  It is necessary for the production of DNA and RNA and for the synthesis of proteins.  Magnesium helps maintain normal levels of potassium, calcium, and phosphorous, and is involved in the regulation of blood pressure.  In a 2005-2006 study, almost half of the US population (48%) took in less than the required amount of Magnesium from food. Prolonged exercise may lead to depletion of serum levels of Magnesium.  Administration of Magnesium can help in the treatment of muscular pain, migraine headaches, asthma, heart disease, and can help with restoration of electrolyte balance.

Zinc

Zinc, known as the immunity booster, is an essential trace element that plays an important role not just in immune function, but in wound healing, gene expression, and cellular division.  Administration of Zinc can help with treatment of acne, cold and flu symptoms, impaired immune function, delayed wound healing, and age related macular degeneration.  Zinc therapy can also help with digestion and may help lower risk of cancer.

Glutathione

Glutathione, known as the master of antioxidants, is an amino acid derivative, made up of Cysteine, Glutamic Acid, and Glycine.  It plays an important role in protecting liver cells, red blood cells, and other cells against injury caused by free radicals and other substances.  Administration of Glutathione can help prevent age related loss of muscle proteins, and in athletes can help decrease muscle soreness and enhance recovery.

Taurine

Taurine is an organic sulfonic acid, though is often classified as an amino acid because it contains both an amino and a carboxyl group.  Studies in athletes have shown that Taurine shows a positive effect on aerobic and anaerobic performance, muscle soreness, and recovery.  Taurine can also support cardiovascular health, enhance cognitive function, and protect against xenobiotics (environmental pollutants).  Taurine levels can decrease during times of stress, illness, or injury.  Administration of Taurine can help to restore plasma Taurine levels, supporting a return to health.

Lysine

Lysine is an essential amino acid that is required for the synthesis of collagen and protein, and is highly concentrated in muscles.  Administration of Lysine can help to decrease anxiety, can help with blood pressure control, and can serve as an anti-inflammatory agent.  Lysine is involved in the synthesis of carnitine, which aids in reduction of cholesterol.  IV administration of Lysine can lead to increased circulating concentration of Growth Hormone that could support muscle development.

Arginine

Arginine is a conditionally essential nutrient, needed in times of stress, illness, or injury.  As a precursor to Nitric Oxide, Arginine is active in the nervous, immune, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, and circulatory systems.  It can stimulate the secretion of Insulin, Prolactin, Glucagon, and Progesterone.  IV administration of Arginine can lead to increased circulating concentration of Growth Hormone that could support muscle development.  Arginine infusion may also lead to increased glucose uptake by skeletal muscles during exercise.  These benefits could support athletic training, performance, and recovery.

Pepcid

Pepcid (Famotidine) is a powerful antacid, a histamine-2 (H2) blocker that helps with symptoms of upset stomach, acid reflux, indigestion, bloating, belching, throat irritation, by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach.  IV administration of Pepcid can result in rapid relief from symptoms of acid reflux.

Zofran

Zofran (Ondansetron) is an anti-emetic medication that helps relieve nausea and vomiting.  It was initially used to control severe nausea related to chemotherapy.  A selective Serotonin receptor (5-HT3) antagonist, Zofran is a powerful agent that quickly relieves nausea when given in IV form.
